A juvenile is facing multiple charges after leading law enforcement on a lengthy four-wheeler pursuit Friday evening in Meade County.
According to the Meade County Sheriff’s Office, at around 6:00 p.m. on July 3, a deputy attempted to stop a juvenile riding a four-wheeler that matched the description of a rider who had been the subject of multiple complaints.
Authorities say the juvenile refused to stop, leading deputies on a 45-minute chase through Meade County, including several trips in and out of the City of Meade. The pursuit ended in a pasture about two-and-a-half miles southwest of Meade, where the rider was taken into custody.
No injuries were reported during the incident. Authorities are requesting charges that include unauthorized operation of a special purpose vehicle, flee and elude, reckless driving, no insurance, and criminal damage to property. The case has been submitted to the Meade County Attorney for review.
