Guymon Airport Gets a New Hangar

A new hangar is now open at Guymon Municipal Airport, adding valuable space for aircraft and supporting economic growth across the Oklahoma Panhandle.

The new 12,000-square-foot hangar increases the airport’s capacity to accommodate visiting aircraft and business aviation traffic, while creating new opportunities for revenue and economic development in Texas County and the surrounding region.

Construction on the project began in November 2025. Funding was provided through a partnership between the Federal Aviation Administration, the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics, and the City of Guymon.

Guymon Municipal Airport is the largest public airport in the Oklahoma Panhandle, handling approximately 19,000 aircraft operations each year and serving more than 30 based aircraft.
