Zayden Martinez is Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week

Liberal senior wide receiver Zayden Martinez is the Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week. He had eight catches for 148 yards and two touchdowns in Liberal’s 21-7 win Friday night at Dodge City. Martinez leads the WAC with 22 catches, 571 receiving yards, and eight receiving touchdowns. He has 1,431 receiving yards in his career and needs just 30 yards to pass Jade Cathey for second in receiving yards in Redskin football history. Martinez is also a standout in basketball, baseball, and track and is a member of FCA.
