Two Skins Make State

Two LHS golfers qualify for state and the entire team missed by just two three strokes Monday at regionals at Smoky Hills in Hays. Liberal’s Alex Colvin shot an 85 and Zane Ralston carded an 89 to make state next Monday at Sand Creek Station in Newton. The Redskins shot a 361 just missing Salina Central’s 359. Hays won regionals with a 312 followed by Newton (357), Salina Central (359), Salina South (360), Liberal (361), McPherson (374), and Great Bend (394). Liberal’s Lucas Poulton shot a 93 while Blake Stout shot a 94, Daniel Dowell fired a 97, and Blake Romero shot a 117.
