Sublette Seeks Improvment

Brock Kappelmann - August 29, 2016 2:33 pm

After a 2-7 season, the class 2A Sublette Larks look to be better in 2016.  Matt Fox enters his second year trying to bring the Larks back to their consistent success which fans had become accustomed to.  The Larks have fallen on hard times recently and haven’t had a winning season since 2011 and haven’t experienced the postseason since 2009.  Sublette has 23 out for football and seven starters back on both sides of the ball.  Injuries decimated the SHS charges last year so many of the returning Larks had time on the varsity gridiron.  Key Larks include Sr. QB/CB Jeremy Ornelas, Sr. WR/S Quinnton Gonzales, Jr. RB/MLB Jamel Roberson, So. FB/LB Izzy DeLarosa, and Jr. OL/DL Jesse Garetson.  Sublette was featured during the Monday Sportsguys.  The Larks will be the first featured team On the Sidelines at Billy’s/Ayr Lanes Thursday night at 6 on 102.7 and kscbnews.net.
