Commission to host “State of the City” address

The Liberal City Commission will host a “State of the City” address at noon on Wednesday, July 15th, 2026 at the Randall Girl Scout Building located at Light Park. The public is encouraged to attend the presentation and a free lunch will be provided.

Commissioners will introduce themselves to guests and staff will share details about the City’s financial position, special projects, and progress being made towards strategic goals. The meeting will be recorded and later published to the City of Liberal’s Facebook page and YouTube profile.

“Our ‘State of the City’ address is an opportunity for the public to learn more about how we’re using public funds to create a better life for all residents to live, work, play, and grow in our community,” City Manager, Scarlette Diseker, said. “We find tremendous value in keeping residents informed and involved in conversations, so we’re looking forward to connecting with everyone in attendance.”

A free lunch will be provided and residents interested in attending are asked to RSVP to ensure enough meals are prepared. Seats will be limited to building capacity. Guests can RSVP online at cityofliberal.org/rsvp or by contacting Keeley Young at (620) 626-2257 or [email protected].
