Seward Softball Splits at Lamar

The Seward softball team split a pair of competitive games at Lamar on Saturday. Seward won the first game 7-6 before Lamar took game two 8-6.

In game one, Seward out-hit Lamar 12-7 and won despite five errors. Seward trailed 6-4 in the seventh but rallied with three runs for the lead. Michelle Duford was 3-4 with two RBI’s. Stephanie Mark and Becky Allen added two hits a piece.

In game two, Lamar scored three in the bottom of the sixth in route to the win. Stephanie Mark was 4-4 with three RBI’s.

Seward is 22-18 and hosts Frank Phillips Tuesday at 2 p.m.
