The Seward softball team dropped two games at Colby Saturday afternoon 5-4 and 4-0. Seward has dropped four in a row.
In game one, the Trojans scored one in the second and one in the third. Seward took the lead with three in the fourth. SCCC chased home a fifth inning run to lead 4-2. But Colby scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth for the 5-4 lead. Colby out-hit Seward 8-7. Seward committed the game’s only two errors. Taylor Harding and Emily Lane has two hits a piece. Malaya Garcia hit a double. Kate Perez drove home two runs.
In game two, the Lady Saints only had one hit. Colby scored one in the first, two in the fourth, and one in the sixth. Grace Horne pitched all six innings. Colby out-hit Seward 9-1.
Colby is in first place and 10-2 and it 16-12 overall. Seward falls to 2-8 in the KJCCC and 10-18 overall. Seward plays at Dodge City on Wednesday at 1pm.
