Seward County Sheriff Gene Ward warns the public that there is a scam going around that wants you to deposit money in a Bitcoin machine. This is a scam. The caller is saying that they are from the Sheriff’s office and that the person has a warrant out for arrest, and that they are not allowed to step foot on Federal property. If anyone gets a phone call that says, they are from the Sheriff’s office and they want them to deposit money into a Bitcoin machine, immediately hang up and report it to the Sheriff’s Office as the Sheriff’s Office would never ask this of the public.
