Saints Split with Garden City

The first Seward-Garden softball showdown results in a split. The Saints won the first game 4-1 but the Broncbusters took game two 4-3. In game one, the Saints plated four in the fifth. Leah Sitter hit a two RBI double. Brianna Baron had two hits in the win. Erin Roufosse scattered five hits, struck out 11, and walked two in the win. In game two, the Saints built a 3-0 lead after two innings but the Busters scored one in the third and three in the fourth in rout to the win. Lynda Musick had two of Seward’s four hits in the loss. Both teams are 1-1 in the Jayhawk West while Seward is 9-2 and Garden City is 10-3. Seward plays Lamar at 11 AM Saturday at the Pratt tournament.
