Redskins win, Lady Skins drop one in Great Bend

Liberal used a 14-1 run to win for the first time in Great Bend since 2008, beating the Panthers 57-47 Friday night. Jade Cathey led a balanced attack tossing a game high 15 points, as the Redskins improve to 2-1 in WAC play, 8-6 overall.

The Lady Redskins hung tough but dropped a 56-50 decision to the Lady Panthers falling to 1-2 in Wac play, 8-6 overall. Justice Norrah dropped in 19 points in the loss. The Lady Skins continue WAC play Saturday with a scheduled 3 o’clock tip off in Dodge City. The ‘Skins play Dodge City following the girls game. Both games can be heard on 1270 AM KSCB or Broock Kappelmann will provide play by play for both games.
