Redskins Split at Stanton County

Liberal’s softball team split a double header at Stanton County Thursday in Johnson. Liberal won the first game 12-6 before Stanton County took game two 6-2.

In game one, LHS built a 6-0 lead in the second. Jai Chapman was 4-5 with five RBI’s with a three run homer while Riley Hay was 4-5. Jaycee Darroch pitched the complete game for the win.

In game two, Liberal committed six errors and stranded nine runners on base in the loss.

Liberal is 6-10 and host the top seed in their regional Hays Tuesday at 1 p.m. for their final home games at the Liberal Softball Complex.
