Redskins Open Soccer Season with Win Over Bishop Carroll

What a way to start the 2019 season.  The Liberal soccer team defeated the Bishop Carroll Eagles 1-0 Monday at the Wichita South Titan Classic.  A.J. Ramirez scored Liberal’s goal on a set piece on a dead ball outside the Carroll penalty box.  Ramirez was assisted by Christian Sobalvarro.  The Redskins had six shots on goal.  LHS goal keeper Levi Flores had seven saves.  Liberal plays the Derby Panthers in the semis of the Wichita South Titan Classic on Thursday.  Derby defeated Wichita Trinity 3-0.
