The Liberal wrestling teams hosted the Garden City Buffaloes in the Big House for a dual Tuesday night.  The #1 ranked Garden City girls topped Liberal 57-15.  The #5 GCHS boys won 56-19.

The Liberal girls wrestling team faced a tough challenge in their dual against Garden City, the No. 1–ranked team in Class 6A. Despite the 15–57 final score, the Lady Redskins competed with determination and grit throughout the night.

Liberal earned three individual victories in the dual, with wins from Genesis Orrantia, Ashley Vizcarra, and Evelyn Sandoval. The match served as a valuable test against top-level competition and highlighted the team’s continued effort and growth against one of the state’s strongest programs.

The Lady Redskins will look to build on this experience as they prepare for upcoming competition.

The LHS boys go to Hays this weekend and the girls go to Wichita Heights.
