Redskins Complete Sweep of Garden City

The Redskin soccer teams polished off a sweep of the Garden City Buffaloes with a 2-1 at Buffalo Stadium in Garden City Tuesday evening.  The Buffaloes scored in the first five minutes.  The Redskins tied the score at 1-1 with 15 minutes remaining in the first half when Mike Fonseca scored on a rebound.  Fonseca scored the lead goal with an assist from David Arroyo.  The Redskins are 8-2 and 4-1 in the Western Athletic Conference.  Garden City is 7-4 and 1-4 in the WAC.

Fonseca’s two goals give him 27 for the season.  The record is Eduard Moreno’s 54 goals in a season.

Liberal 8-2 4-1

Great Bend 4-7 2-3

Garden City 7-4 1-4

Hays 4-9 0-5
