After winning all four games at Garden City’s tournament last weekend, the Liberal Rattlers took two wins Friday at Demon Field in Dodge City. The Rattlers topped Dodge City Friday morning before an 11-1 win over Buhler Friday afternoon.
In the Dodge City win, Cade Thomas pitched three innings fanning five. Alex Schwindt went two innings striking out two. Aidan Schwindt and Alex Schwindt had two hits a piece. Jhett Huffman hit a triple and drove home two runs.
In the win over Buhler, Alex Schwindt worked three inning with eight strikeouts and no walks. Erek Lira worked one inning. Brooks Kappelmann was 2-3 with two RBI’s. Jhett Huffman doubled and drove home two. Erek Lira doubled.
Liberal is 15-5 and plays at 11:15 vs. Salina and bracket play begins in the afternoon.
