The Liberal Rattlers played two at the Genesis Sports Complex in Goddard Friday afternoon.  The Rattlers lost 9-0 to the Wichita Spartans and 9-6 to the Salina Spikes.
In the loss to the Spartans, the Rattlers had one Blayden Betts single as their only hit.  Andrew Wessels pitched four innings and did not allow an earned run.
In game two against the Spikes, the Rattlers led 3-1 after a three run third.  Salina scored two in the third and three in the fourth to lead 6-3.  The Rattlers scored two in the sixth to make it 6-5.  But Salina played three in the bottom of the sixth.  Liberal out-hit the Spikes 10-7.  But the Rattlers had three errors.  Andrew Wessels was 3-3 and Bren Kappelmann was 3-4.  Taylan Hill pitched 5 and 1/3 innings.
The Rattlers are 3-6 and play PSA Prime at 10:10 Saturday morning.
