Wanda June Hall (Denney), loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 2, 2023, in Kansas City, Missouri.

She was born in Liberal, Kansas on January 19, 1930, the daughter of Wilson and Meta Opal (Hunt) Denney. She grew up in Liberal, graduating from Liberal High School in 1948. She then went on to attend and graduate from the University of Kansas, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta.

On August 19, 1952, she married the love of her life, Cornett Eugene “Gene” Hall, in Liberal. They had been married 58 years at the time of Gene’s passing in Liberal in 2010. She was also preceded in death by her mother in 1962 and by her father in 1997.

Wanda is survived by one daughter, Gena Denise Harris and husband Steve, Albuquerque, New Mexico; three sons, Vance Eugene Hall and wife Kendrea, Hugoton, Kansas, Mark Denney Hall and wife Stephanie, Coffeyville/Liberal, Kansas, and Wade Michael Hall and wife Tara, Prairie Village, Kansas; Seven grandchildren, Logan Harris, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Denny Scott Harris, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Stephanie Emert and husband Brett, Overland Park, Kansas, Preston, Hall, Overland Park, Kansas, Kristen Martinez and husband Rick, Beaver, Oklahoma, Jared Hall, Beaver, Oklahoma, and Gage Hall, Kansas City, Missouri; and four great-grandchildren, Sloan and Freddy Emert, Overland Park, Kansas, and Grace and Anna Martinez, Beaver, Oklahoma.

Wanda will be deeply missed by the family and friends who loved her so dearly.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM, Sunday, July 9, 2023, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home Chapel, 1212 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, July 10, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church, 116 W. 3rd, Liberal, Kansas. Reverend Brad Bennett will be presiding.

A private family burial will take place.
