Vicki Jane Lowry, age 78, of Ulysses, KS passed away on February 24, 2026, at Western Prairie Senior Living, in Ulysses, KS. Born June 24, 1947, in Liberal, KS, the daughter of Cleston and Martha (Moser) Lowry.

Vicki grew up in Ulysses, Kansas, and graduated from Grant County Rural High School. She continued her education at Emporia State University and later earned her master’s degree from Fort Hays State University. Vicki began her professional career as a teacher, where she inspired countless students. She later transitioned into school counseling, dedicating herself to helping young people. Her compassion and wisdom made a lasting impact on students and colleagues. She retired in 2010, concluding a career marked by many years commitment. Beyond her professional life, Vicki found great joy in the simple moments life offered. She treasured time spent in Taos, New Mexico. She loved being at the lake, especially water skiing and enjoying the sunshine and laughter that came with those gatherings.

She is survived by her partner, Michael Brewer of Ulysses, KS; son, Vernal and wife Jessica Lattimore of Ulysses, KS; grandchildren, Kaylin Lattimore and Waylan Lattimore of Ulysses, KS; and sisters, Shirley Lowry and partner Nancy of Santa Fe, NM, Linda Duran and husband Richard of Marble Falls, TX and Kathy Clark of Caldwell, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleston and Martha.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Garnand Funeral Home, Ulysses, KS, with Minister Warren Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, February 27, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home.
