Vada A. White

Vada A. White, age 87, passed away Monday afternoon, March 20, 2023, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Liberal, Kansas.

She was born March 28, 1935, at Matfield Green, Kansas, the daughter of Oliver M. and Clellah (Buck) Nichols. As a young girl, she attended school in Matfield Green, graduating from high school. A resident of Plains since 1965, she was a homemaker.

She attended the Plains Friends Church and enjoyed taking walks, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

On July 27, 1958, she married Harvey Arthur White at Emporia, Kansas. He precedes her in death on February 19, 1997.

She is survived by her children Lindell White and wife Jasmin of Wichita, Kansas, Karina Blaser and husband Paul of Turpin, Oklahoma, Darcy White and wife Tammy of Wichita, Kansas, and Tonjua Sherrill and husband Don of Forgan, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Cori Ryan, Kiefer White, Tenyse Blaser, Brandon Blaser, Jordan Blaser, Adam White, Jared White, Dr. Rhiannon Radcliff, and Angela Grahm; and ten great-grandchildren, Kasyn Blaser, Kyndell Blaser, Kashys Blaser, Spenser Blaser, Bentley Blaser, Raegan Blaser, Carter Grahm, Lucas Grahm, Ryker Radcliff, and Ryland Radcliff.

Private family graveside services will be held at the Plains Cemetery at a later date. There will be no public viewing as cremation has taken place. Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade, Kansas, has been entrusted with arrangements.

The family would welcome memorials to the Southwestern Heights High School FFA in care of the funeral home.
