Tom Talley

Tom Talley, 80, died Monday, December 1, 2014 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS.

He was born September 5, 1934 at Pauls Valley, OK, the son of Preston and Cecil (Davis) Talley.

He married Ardess Klingsieck April 12, 1957 at South Whittier, CA. She preceded him in death.

Tom was graduated high school in Pauls Valley, OK, class of 1952. Shortly after graduation Tom enlisted into the US Navy where he served for served for 20 years during which he was an Electrician serving in many locations including Hawaii and the Philippines. Tom moved to Liberal in December 1972 where he worked as a Master Electrician for Talley Electric until retiring in 2004. Tom enjoyed reading and was a member of the VFW where he had served as Past Commander, was a former member of the Liberal Lions Club and Pancake Board.

His survivors include Two Sons, Kirk Talley of Kismet, KS, Marc Talley; 4 grand children and 2 great grandchildren; close friend & caregiver – Rebecca Ely of Liberal, KS.; sister in law – Peggy Davis of Pauls Valley, OK.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.

Visitation will be 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm Friday December 5, 2014 at Miller Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be at 12:00 pm Saturday December 6, 2014 at Miller Mortuary with Pastor Rex Petty officiating.

A private family burial will be held following the service.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society in care of Miller Mortuary.
