Teresa Garza, age 61, died Saturday, May 1, 2021, at United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was born May 29, 1959, in Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico, the daughter of Simon and Maria (Longoria) Rodriguez.
Teresa grew up in Mexico and moved to the United States with her family. She has been married to Ramiro Garza, Sr. for 47 years. She dearly loved her family and was a caregiver to them all. Teresa enjoyed dancing with her husband and attending sporting events with her children. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, Dallas Cowboys fan, and enjoyed watching KU basketball. Teresa was a garage sale enthusiast and spent most of her mornings with friends at the donut shop.
Teresa is survived by her husband, Ramiro Garza, Sr. of their home; sons, Ramiro Garza, Jr. and wife Valerie, Michael Garza, and David Garza and Morgan Stickney all of Ulysses; daughter, Christina Garza and Jose Frias of Ft. Worth, Texas; mother, Maria Rodriguez of Satanta; brother, Rogelio Rodriguez of Satanta; sister, Patricia Herrera and husband Gerardo of Dodge City; grandchildren, Braden Henderson and wife Adriana of Vernon, Texas, Christian Garza, Elizabeth Garza, Natalie Escamilla, Alex Garza, Dallas Garza, Isaiah Garza, Aaliah Garza, Myles Garza, Hayli Rodriguez, Aniya Rodriguez, Gavyn Rodriguez all of Ulysses, Natialie Frias and Elias Frias of Ft. Worth, Texas; and great-grandchildren, Asa and Adelina Henderson of Vernon, Texas.
Teresa is preceded in death by her father, Simon; brothers, Simon Rodriguez, Ruben Rodriguez, and Ricardo Rodriguez; sisters, Sonia Rodriguez and Ana Andrade Rodriguez; grandson, Gabriel Garza; great-grandson, Jaxon Riley Henderson; and niece, Yesenia Rodriguez.
Funeral service will be Friday, May 7, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Oasis Church in Ulysses, Kansas, with Pastor Rafael Franco officiating. The service will also be live streamed on Garnand Funeral Home Facebook page. Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, May 6, 2021, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
