Ted G. Ipson

Teddy Gene (Ted) Ipson, age 52, died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born May 8, 1958 in Elkhart, Kansas the son of Roger and Bonnie (Gerrond) Ipson.

Ted graduated from Elkhart High School in 1976. He was employed by Colorado Interstate Gas Company for 17 years living in Elkhart, Lakin, Liberal, Kansas, and also Wamsutter, Wyoming. In 1995 he established his own company Lone Eagle Testing and Measurement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and was devoted to Club One, where he touched many lives.

In 1977 he married Lisa Steele and later married Linda Langan in 1979.

He is survived by one son, T.J. Ipson and wife Josie of Liberal, Kansas; two daughters, Kelli Mittelstadt and husband Ben of Midland, Texas, Tara Bayles and husband Adam of Corpus Christi, Texas; one sister, Teresa Harder and husband Ted of Elkhart, Kansas; mother, Bonnie Ipson of Elkhart, Kansas; grandchildren, Zylee Ipson, Zaynee Ipson, Zayland Ipson, Cole Mittelstadt, Brandon Mittelstadt, Paige Rocha, Addison Bayles, and Jackson Bayles, and his two faithful dogs, Daisy May, and Smilin Jack.

He was preceded in death by his father, infant brother, Ronald Dean Ipson, and his grandparents.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Elkhart United Methodist Church in Elkhart, Kansas with Pastor Bruce Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart, Kansas. Friends may call Friday, April 29, 2011 from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM with the family present from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Elkhart, Kansas. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Relay For Life or Honor Flight in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 854, Elkhart, Kansas 67950.
