Tammi Kay Arange Eckert

Tammi Kay Arange Eckert, 47, Hugoton, KS, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at her residence surrounded by family. 

She was born to Roy Gene Arange and Martha (Sheperd) Arange on March 16, 1973, Hugoton, KS.  She graduated from Hugoton High School Class of 1992.   Tammi graduated from Ft. Hayes State University and Ottawa University. She had a Master’s in Special Education.  

Tammi and Marcus Eckert were married on May 31, 2003 in Hugoton, KS.  They raised their children here in Hugoton.   She enjoyed spending time with her children and family.  She was a Special Ed Teacher for 13 years. Tammi loved her job as a teacher where she could help children and their family.  She taught in Hugoton, Rolla, Satanta and Liberal.  

Tammi was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Hugoton.   

Survivors include husband, Marcus Eckert, Hugoton, KS.; two sons, Takoda Eckert and wife Amber, Enid, OK.; Tukker Eckert, Hugoton, KS.; two daughters, Tala Eckert, Hugoton, KS., Kaliah Moul, Longmont, CO.; two brothers, Patrick Arange, Hugoton, KS., David Arange and wife Miriam, Antioch, CA.; father-in-law, David Eckert and wife Joyce, Hugoton, KS.; sister-in-law, Angela Staten, Liberal, KS.; nieces and nephews, Daniele Olaez, Ashley Jackson, Michelle Kehn, Aiyana Arange, Kenoa Arange, Raven, Rayna and Rayshawn Staten other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Arange and Martha Arange and mother-in-law, Brenda Eckert. 

A memorial has been established to Pheasant Heaven Charities or Eckert Children’s Education Fund.  Memorials may be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, PO Box 236, Hugoton, Kansas 67951.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2020, 10:30 AM at Assembly of God Church, Hugoton, KS.  Burial following at Hugoton Cemetery, Hugoton, Kansas.

Visitation will be Wednesday 12 PM to 8 PM at Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton.  Family will receive friends from 5 PM to 7 PM at the funeral home.
