Tabin Padilla

Tabin Padilla, age 62, died Sunday, December 24, 2023, at his home in Hugoton, Kansas. He was born June 20, 1961, in Tabasco, Zacatecas, Mexico, the son of Rigoberto and Aurora (Ruiz) Padilla.

Tabin was born in Zacatecas, Mexico, where he enjoyed farming, cattle, and bull riding. In 1984, he moved to California and married his wife, Zoila De La Cruz and started their life together. They moved to Hugoton, Kansas, in 1999 where he resided the rest of his life. Tabin liked to spend time with his family and enjoyed camping, and working on his cars was his passion.

Tabin is survived by his wife, Zoila; children, Leticia Ordonez and husband Mauricio, Aurora Tinoco and husband Cesar, Elizabeth Alvarado and husband Carlos all of Hugoton, David Padilla and wife Mayra of Pratt, Kansas, Mirna Padilla of Arizona and Jose Raygoza of Arizona; and grandchildren, Emily Tinoco, Ivan Tinoco, Derek Tinoco, Isaac Alvarado, Kevin Alvarado, Ethan Ordonez, and Hannah Ordonez.

Tabin is preceded in death by his parents, Rigoberto Padilla and Aurora Ruiz.

Rosary will be Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 7:00 PM and Funeral Mass will be Friday, December 29, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Helen Catholic Church in Hugoton, Kansas, with Reverend Rudin Din officiating. Interment will follow at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Hugoton.
