Stacy Thi Tran

Stacy Thi Tran, age 57, died Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the Mansfield Methodist Hospital in Mansfield, Texas.

She was born on June 3, 1967, the daughter of Cung Tran and Kiem Thi Nguyen in Da Nang, Vietnam.

Stacy grew up and received her education in Vietnam. After migrating to the United States, she lived in San Diego, California for a short period of time, where Stacy graduated from cosmetology school. She moved to Liberal, Kansas and has lived here for the past 31 years, working at National Beef for a time. She then started working in her beloved field as a cosmetologist at Luxe Beauty Bar. She loved her occupation and was always a hard worker.

She married Jorge A. Nunez on December 12, 2012, in Da Nang, Vietnam. Stacy was the mother to four children, Cuong Nguyen, Jimmy Koon, Mi Nguyen and Jorge Nunez, Jr.

Stacy was an excellent cook, family and friends were always ready to enjoy her wonderful meals. She will always be remembered for her great homemade eggrolls and beef Jerky. She also enjoyed gardening, where tulips were her favorite flowers. Traveling was special for her. Shopping brought her great joy as she often was buying gifts for her family and friends and sending gifts to her family in Vietnam. She loved her grandchildren dearly; they were very special to her and will be remembered as a friend to everyone she met.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas. The family will be present from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM to receive friends.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM on Friday, April 8, 2022, at the Hornung Funeral Home Chapel, 1212 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.

Interment will follow at the Liberal Cemetery in Liberal, Kansas.
