Silvia Tapia de Soto

Silvia Tapia de Soto, age 66, died Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas.

She was born on January 1, 1955, the daughter of Vincente Tapia and Maria Flores in Trojes, Zacatecas, Mexico.

Silvia raised her daughter Sonia Ramirez and her nephew, Arturo Soto. She was a factory worker for many years for Seaboard Foods. Silvia will forever be remembered by her family and friends.

Her daughter, Sonia Ramirez of Liberal, Kansas

Her nephew Arturo Soto, Arturo’s children, Bianca and Macario Soto

Her mother, Maria Flores of Trojes, Mexico

Her four brothers, Ruben Tapia, Javier Tapia, Vincente Tapia, and Rodolfo Tapia

Three sisters, Alicia Tapia, Azucena Tapia, and Coco Tapia

Two Grandchildren, Ruby Soto, and Alondra Hernandez

And Great Grandchild, Sofia Soto and many more nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her nephew Arturo’s wife, Patricia Herrera de Soto

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home.

Rosary will be at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas with Rev. Juan Salas presiding.

Burial will follow at the Liberal Cemetery.
