She was born on November 12, 1969 to John Mundt Sr. and Sue Peterson in Denver City, TX.
She was a graduate of Liberal High School; class of 1988 and Seward County Community College, where she obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing. Sheila worked as an Admissions Coordinator at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal. She loved being with her grand babies and spending time attending her family’s events. She also enjoyed shopping, going to the casinos, and enjoying her favorite drink; a Route 44 Sonic Dr. Pepper while lounging in her fuzzy pajamas.
Sheila is survived by her Son, Kurtis Hightower and wife Darcy of Dalhart, TX; Three Grandchildren, Khloe Machelle Hightower, Quinn Lee Hightower and Kade Laroy Hightower; her Parents, Sue and Dwain Peterson of Tyrone, OK; two brothers, John Mundt and wife Brenda of Stinnett, TX; Dwight Peterson and wife Cristina of Nemo, TX; two sisters, Daina Davis of Hooker, OK, Steffanie Liebman and husband Chris of Hardesty, OK; as well as several Nieces, Nephews, Aunts and Uncles.
She was preceded in death by her Daughter, Mindy Machelle Hightower and Sister In Law, Holly Mundt.
Viewing will be 9:00 am – 11:30 am Monday, February 24, 2020, at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, Kansas.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Monday, February 24, 2020, at the Trinity Faith Church with Pastor Terry Engler, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Tyrone Cemetery near Tyrone, OK.
