Samuel C. Vazquez

Samuel C. Vazquez, age 62, died Thursday, November 10, 2022, at his home in Liberal, Kansas.

He was born on February 7, 1960, the son of Socorro Vazquez and Josefina (Cardenas) Vazquez in Mexico.

Samuel grew up in a large loving family with his four brothers, six sisters and extended family. On May 20, 1995, he was united in marriage to Luzvila Sanchez in Ventura, California. Samuel’s family continued to grow with the addition of his three sons and three daughters. He worked as a warehouse man in agriculture for many years. He will be greatly missed and remembered by his family and all who were fortunate to meet him in his lifetime.

Daughters, Cristina Wesley (Michael) of Liberal, Kansas, Rosenda Gomez (Juan) of Guadalajara, Mexico, and Mayra Hernandez (Ivan) of Liberal, Kansas
Brothers, Juan Vazquez, Jose Angel Vazquez, Socorro Vazquez, Alberto Vazquez, and
Sisters, Manuela Vazquez, Guadalupe Vazquez, Juana Vazquez, Catalina Vazquez, Ma de Jesus Vazquez, and Rosenda Vazquez, and
13 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by
Both his parents, Socorro Vazquez and Josefina (Cardenas) Vazquez and infant brother, Jose Pepito Vazquez.

Visitation will be 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM, Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.

Rosary will follow 7:00 PM, Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas. Rev. Juan Salas celebrating.

Burial to follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
