Ruby M. Friesen:UPDATE

Ruby Mae Blehm Friesen, 82, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed way November 17, 2011 at Good Samaritan Center in Liberal, Kansas.

Ruby, the second of five daughters, was born December 28, 1928 in Hooker, Oklahoma the daughter of Henry and Alice Jones Blehm.

She attended Hooker Schools, graduating from Hooker High School with the Class of 1948.

On August 8, 1948, Ruby was united in marriage to Elden Friesen who she had known since the first grade at Adams School.

To this union was born three children, two sons, Larry and Michael and daughter, Diana. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Ruby accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized in the Christian Church along with her husband and son Larry in June of 1959.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one son.

Survivors include her husband, Elden of the home; one son, Larry of Hooker, Oklahoma and daughter, Diana Yates and her husband, Mike of Hooker, Oklahoma; sister, Deloris Tharp, two sisters-in-law, Alforetta Friesen and Josephine Mitchell and her husband Jim; brother-in-law, Jim Keaton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Center in Liberal, Kansas. Inurnment will be held at a later date directed by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Hooker, Oklahoma.
