Ronald “Ronnie” Gokey, was born on September 4, 1962. He passed away in his own home in Liberal Kansas on December 11th, 2025
Ronnie was a man of strength, kindness, and remarkable skill. He had a true love for fishing and camping, finding peace and joy near the water, and was known for his natural ability to fix just about anything that was broken. Whether it was small repair or a complicated problem, Ronnie approached it with patience, determination, and care-always willing to help without expecting anything in return.
Ronnie faced personal struggles throughout his life and bravely battled alcoholism for many years. Despite these challenges, he remained a caring and thoughtful person whose heart and intentions were always evident to those who truly knew him.
He is survived by an estranged brother, as well as other family members.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his beloved mother and father.
Above all, Ronnie was deeply loved and cared for by his friends. He formed strong, meaningful bonds and will be remembered for his dependable nature, and genuine care he showed to those around him. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and reassurance, and his absence is felt deeply.
Ronnie will be dearly missed, lovingly remembered, and forever in the hearts of those who had the privilege of calling him friend.
There will be no visitation or funeral, as cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date
