Ronald E. West

Ronald E. West, age 71, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Edwards County Hospital in Kinsley, KS

He was born February 16, 1943 at Cushing, OK, the son of Cecil A. and Joyce (Baker) West.

He married Karen Martin January 3, 1975 at Perryton, TX. She survives.

Ronald attended high school in Guymon, OK, class of 1961. Ronald then attended OSU and graduated with his degree at OPSU. He was a Field Coordinator for Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline (Cities Service Gas Co.) 30+ years retiring in 2006 at Hesston, KS. Ronald enjoyed golf, hunting, football, bowling, genealogy. He was a member of Grant Street Church of Christ.

Other survivors include Daughter – Cari Sallee and husband Gene of Liberal, KS; Son – Troy Johnson and wife Teresa of Bartlesville, OK; five grandchildren – Krista S. Sallee of Liberal, KS, Nathan Johnson of Bartlesville, OK, Courtney Johnson of Bartlesville, OK; Justin Sallee of Liberal, KS; Tildon Johnson of Bartlesville, OK.

and his constant companion his miniature Schnauzer, Bandit. One aunt- Mary Biggers and husband Don of El Reno, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be 10:00 am-8:00 pm Friday, March 28, 2014 at Miller Mortuary.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday March 29, 2014 at the Grant Street Church of Christ officiated by David King, minister.

The family suggests memorials to Central & Western Alzheimer’s Assoc. or the Liberal Senior Center-Respite Care in care of Miller Mortuary.
