Rogelio Valles, age 59, died on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at his residence in Liberal, Kansas.

He was born on May 10, 1966, in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico to Genaro Valles and Aurelia Medrano.

Rogelio married Laura Maria Valles Carrillo and was the father of two sons and one daughter, as well as the grandfather of five grandchildren. He held the position of loader operator at High Plains Ponderosa Dairy. He will be remembered with respect and appreciation.

He loved his family and was devoted, responsible, and protective of his family. Rogelio enjoyed gathering with relatives and will always be remembered for making jokes.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Maria Valles Carrillo,

Son, Rogelio Eliseo Valles of Mexico,

Daughter, Brenda Vela and her husband, Ecxon Vela of Topeka, Kansas,

brothers, Luis Valles of Taos, New Mexico,

Carmen Valles Reza of Juares, Mexico, and

Bertha Valles of Chihuahua Mexico,

He is preceded in death by his father, Genaro Valles.

The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with Reverend Charles Seiwert officiating. Burial will follow at Liberal Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.hornungfuneralhome.com.
