Roberta J. Babb, age 84, passed away early Monday morning, March 9, 2026, at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Wichita, Kansas.

She was born July 27, 1941, at Fowler, Kansas, the daughter of Robert Edwin and Mary Lorene (Joy) Young. As a young girl she attended school in Fowler, graduating from Fowler High School. A lifelong resident of Kansas, she was s legal secretary for Coleman Industries for over fifty years.

She enjoyed reading, gardening, shopping, game shows, listening to Elvis Presley songs, and spending time with her family and friends.

She married John E. Babb. After several years of marriage, the couple later divorced, but remained close friends for many years. She is survived by a son, John Babb and wife Robin; a daughter, Amy Babb Grace; a son-in-law, Dave McPhail; two brothers, Wes Young and Robert Young; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Karyn Babb McPhail; her parents; and a brother Johnny Young.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Fowler Cemetery, Fowler, Kansas. Interment will follow the services.

The family would welcome memorials to the charity of the donor’s choice in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade, Kansas.
