Robert D. “Bob” Faulkner , age 83, died at his home in Liberal, KS, Tuesday, January 17, 2012.
He was born January 17, 1929, at Geneseo , KS , to Carcel and Opal (Cronkite) Faulkner.
He was married to Mary Lou Robbins.
He was married to Beverly Doreen Taber, on December 4, 1964, at
Clayton , NM . She preceded him in death on May 8, 1995.
He served in the United States Army, Company 17th Armored Engineer Battalion, during the Korean Conflict.
He was employed as an officer with the Newport News , VA Police Dept, then the Liberal, KS Police Department.
He worked as a clerk for over 20 years for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline.
Survivors include his
2 daughters, Joyce Bailey, Gladstone , VA
Roxanne Walker, and husband Jeff, Derby , KS ;
step-son , Douglas Naegele , Wichita , KS ;
2 step-daughters, Tracy Carlile and husband Mike, Liberal, KS
Kelly Jackson, and husband Karry , Cookson , OK ;
8 grandchildren, Casie Carlile, Dylan McElvania , James McElvania , Barbara Naegele , Stephanie Walker, Cristy Boisey , Aaron Bailey and Justin Bailey;
4 great-grandchildren; Jayden Graves, Aaiden Boisey , Makailah Boisey and Kaileigh Boisey
a sister, Anita Roberts, Kent , WA
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Buster, and infant sister, Carol June.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Friday, Jan 20th at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wyatt Carpenter presiding. Burial will follow at Liberal Cemetery .
Visitation will be 9 am – 8 pm Thursday with the family present from 6:30 – 8 pm to receive friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Liberal Animal Shelter in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal , KS 67901 .
