Richard Kent Childs

Richard Kent Childs, 75, died Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at his residence in Liberal, Kansas.

He was born on November 15, 1944 in Arkansas City, Kansas, the son of Orin Lewis and Elsie (Dozer) Childs.

Richard worked for many years at the Beaver Ace Hardware and Beaver County Nursing Home and more recently at The Good Samaritan Society and Wheatridge Park Care Center nursing homes in Liberal as a maintenance man.

He loved spending time with his family and laughing over a card game, especially pitch and rummy.

Patricia Mosburg of Beaver, Oklahoma

A host of loving nieces and nephews

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Terry Childs.

Graveside services will be at 1pm, Monday, November 2, 2020 at the Riverview Cemetery in Arkansas City, Kansas with Pastor Arlen Ankle presiding.
