Obituary for Randy Gilmore

Randy Gilmore, 62, died Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

He was born on March 21, 1957, to Jim & Marlene Gilmore, in Ellinwood, KS.

He married Virginia Gail (Ginny) Johnson, in Liberal, on March 25, 1983.

Randy was co-owner of Gilmore’s Roustabout Service, Inc. for 25 years.

Randy loved to fish. He was most happy on his land at lake Murval, TX, fishing with his partner in crime & fishing buddy, Tim Gunther.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Gilmore, his son Chad Woods, his brothers David Gilmore & Todd Gilmore, his grandmother Nettie Crotts & brother-in-law’s Kenny Johnson & Junior Johnson and sister-in-law Lucille Neese.

He is survived by his wife Ginny Gilmore, his sons Nick Gilmore, Liberal, KS. Jerrod Gilmore, Yukon, OK, his mother Marlene Gilmore, Mesa, AZ, his brothers Scott & Jennifer Gilmore, Lawrence, KS, Darin & Linda Gilmore, Liberal, KS, his sister, Tammie & Travis Katzenmeier, Mesa, AZ. Sister-in-laws, Catherine & Tom Burdge, Liberal, KS, Debbie Harvey, Salina, KS, Ranita Gilbert, Medicine Lodge, KS. Brother-in-law, Jimmy Johnson, Liberal, KS. His niece, Tiffani Gilmore, Liberal, KS who lovingly cared for him during his illness & many other much loved nieces & nephews.
Grandchildren, Taylor Tripp, Tulsa, OK, Kaleb Woods, Tulsa, OK, Kenzie Cooley, Meade, KS, Aubree Gilmore, Carthage, MO. Conner & Lyla Gilmore, Plains, KS.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel.

In Lieu of Funeral Services there will be a family gathering on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Randy’s home, 1540 Fairview, Liberal, KS.
