Patricia Ann Schlichting

Patricia Ann Schlichting, age 77, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 11, 2020, at the Lone Tree Retirement Center, Meade, Kansas.

She was born June 21, 1942, at Hobart, Oklahoma, to Odell and Willie (King) Godfrey. She spent most of her life in Meade, Kansas, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Pat was a member of the Meade High School Class of 1961, although she graduated and received her diploma in 2005. She was so proud of her accomplishment.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Donny Wallis; her parents; and five brothers.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Don Schlichting, of Meade; her children, Todd Schanze (Nancey) of Moss Lake, Washington, James Wallis (Teresa) of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Deanna Wasson (Barry) of Meade, Kansas, Troy Wallis (Debbie) of Gun Barrel Cay, Texas; Michael Schlichting (Pricilla) of Russelville, Arkansas, Don Schlichting (Lynde) of Murray, Utah, and Jaylene Batman (Kerry) of Ashland, Kansas; brothers, Kenneth Godfrey (Ruth) of Wichita, Kansas, Odell Godfrey (Kathy) of Wichita, Kansas, and Mike Godfrey (Dee) of Great Bend, Kansas; eighteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2020, at the Emmanuel Mennonite Church, Meade. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade. Interment will follow in the Fowler Cemetery, Fowler, Kansas.

The family would welcome memorials to the Beam Senior Center, Emmanuel Mennonite Church, of the Lone Tree Retirement Center in care of the funeral home.
