Maynard Greeson

Maynard Greeson, 67, Kismet, KS, died Saturday, May 21, 2011
at Southwest Medical Center , Liberal, KS , of injuries sustained
in a home explosion.

He was born January 7, 1944 at Friona, TX , the son of Carl & Lorene
Shirley Greeson.

He graduated from Frioma High School in Friona, TX, and received his degree in Animal Science from West Texas State University, Canyon, TX . In 1972 he oved to Southwest Kansas to begin farming. He married Martha C. Mills on September 23, 1972 at Silverton, TX. Maynard was
a lifelong farmer and rancher, raising cattle and horses.

Maynard is survived by his wife Martha; three sons, Chad Greeson
and wife Mary, Lafayette, CA; Dr. Clay Greeson, Cleveland, OH;
Wade Greeson and wife Vanessa, Orlando, FL ; two brothers.
O’Neil Greeson and Debbie Eikenberry, Moscow, KS;
Jim Greeson and wife Gayle, Sublette, KS ; two sisters,
Rose Ann Ray and husband Charles, Friona, TX;
Carlene Osborn and husband Joel, Amarillo, TX ;
two grandchildren, Eloise & Gus Greeson, Lafayette, CA.
He was preceded in death by his father Carl Greeson; mother Lorene Greeson Dean, stepfather, Lester Dean; sister, Paula Jan Dean
and brother Marty Dean.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 27, 3-6 P.M. at the community
center, Kismet, KS.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday
at the Friona Cemetery, Friona, TX.

Memorials may be made to the SCCC/ATS Foundation for the
Maynard Greeson Memorial Fund or to the charity of choice in care of the mortuary.

Miller Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
