Mauricia Fraire, age 61, died Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, Kansas.
She was born on January 15, 1962, the daughter of Vicente Marquez and Elisa Aguilar in Santa Clara, Durango, Mexico.
Mauricia’s most cherished moments were with her family. She enjoyed caring and nurturing her loved ones. She was an amazing mother, wife, grandmother and friend. One of her greatest pleasures was cooking for her family and friends. Mauricia was a selfless generous soul who always gave to those in need. She is deeply loved and will be missed beyond measure.
Mauricia was the mother of two sons, Hernan, and Alan, and three daughters, Brenda, Elsa, and Jessica. She worked as a CNA at Southwest Medical Center Hospital for many years. Mauricia will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
She is survived by her husband, Jesus Fraire of Liberal, Kansas,
Sons, Hernan Fraire (Tania) of Tyrone, Oklahoma, and Alan Fraire (Peyton) of Yukon, Oklahoma, and
Daughters, Brenda Fraire Almaguer (Matthew) of Overland Park, Kansas
Elsa Fraire of Liberal, Kansas, and
Jessica Fraire also of Liberal, Kansas,
Brother, Antonio Marquez,
Sisters, Enriqueta Marquez, Elvia Marquez, Guadalupe Marquez, and Rosa Belia Marquez,
11 Grandchildren, Larissa Ontiveros, Monica Ontiveros, Lylanie Fraire, Sofia Almaguer, Luke Almaguer, Isabel Almaguer, Adrian Lopez, Isaak Fraire, Isabella Fraire, Landon Flores, Ian Flores, and Baby Maverick Fraire who is due in March 2023.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Vicente Marquez and Elisa Aguilar, and
Brother, Manuel Marquez.
Visitation will be 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday, January 23, 2023, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home.
Rosary to follow at 7:00 PM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas. Rev. Juan Salas will celebrate mass.
Burial to follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
