Maureen Jean Abbott

Maureen Jean Abbott, 59, of Tyrone, Oklahoma passed away at her home June 1, 2023.
Maureen was born April 6, 1964, in San Diego, California the daughter of Newton James and Barbara Condie McVickers. The family moved to Brush, Colorado where Maureen attended school. They then moved to Liberal, Kansas where she worked as a waitress at Sally Ann’s and other restaurants.
She met Steve Abbott at the drive-in theater, and they married on December 20, 1983, in Tyrone, Oklahoma. They made their home in Tyrone where she enjoyed playing games at casinos and bingo locally. She played cards with her family especially Phase 10. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains and being with her grandkids was the best.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Mark McVickers, aunt, Diane Condie and Grandmother Marian Condie.
Survivors include her parents, Newton McVickers of Beaver, Oklahoma and Barbara McVickers of Midland, Michigan; her husband, Steve Abbott, Sr. of the home; son, Steven Jr. and Shannon Abbott of Beaver, Oklahoma; two daughters, Diane Zuniga of Tyrone, Oklahoma, Malissa and Lucas Lackey of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma; brother, Jason and Melissa Frost of Midland, Michigan; sister, Sherri and Maton McLemore; nine grandchildren, Monique, Madden, Zayden, Braden, Bentley, Aubrey, Haylee, Kylar, Adaleigh.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the Forgan Cemetery in Forgan, Oklahoma.
