Martha Isela Rivera

Martha Isela Rivera, age 51, of Liberal, Kansas, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She was born November 9, 1971, in La Quemada, Chihuahua, Mexico, the daughter of Manuel and Luz Maria Dominguez Rivera.
The first 23 years of her life she grew up and lived in Mexico. In 1994 she moved with family to Liberal, Johnson, and Hugoton, until settling back in Liberal for the remainder of her life. Martha enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts, bible study, and going to church. She was a committed member of Centro Cristiano Church of Liberal. Martha loved so deeply and lived with so much faith. She was a shining example of what it means to love unconditionally and to live with a steadfast faith. Her unwavering commitment to her family and to God will always be remembered and cherished. She battled many health issues bravely and was always a source of positivity and strength and touched so many lives with her wisdom and kindness. Her legacy will continue to inspire us all. Martha was very close to her nieces and considered them daughters. Martha is survived by her brother, Raul Rivera of Satanta; and sister, Manuela Rivera of Liberal and a number of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, whom she loved and missed dearly.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Centro Cristiano Church of Liberal with Pastor Mario Loredo officiating. Interment will follow at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Garnand Funeral Home in Hugoton.
