Marla Gordon

Marla Gordon, 48, died Sunday evening, March 9, 2014, at Memorial Hospital of Texas County.

The daughter of Shirley (Kyle) and Frank Hanna, Marla Dee Hanna was born May 31, 1965, in Liberal, Kansas. Marla graduated from Liberal High School and received her R.N. from Seward County Community College in Liberal. She was united in marriage to Lex Gordon on March 18, 1983. The Gordons made their home in Guymon. Marla was a wonderful and gifted nurse, working at Memorial Hospital of Texas County for more than 20 years. Marla enjoyed traveling and camping with her family, and photography.

She is survived by her husband, Lex Gordon; son, Nathan Gordon, both of the home in Guymon; parents, Shirley and Frank Hanna of Liberal; two brothers, Mark Hanna and wife, Sherry of Oklahoma City; Matt Hanna of Dodge City, KS. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Katheryn Gordon of Liberal; two sisters-in-law, Jan Keller and Mary Coffee; three brothers-in-law, Lynton Conley, Doyle Conley, and Keith Gordon; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Friday morning, March 14, 10:00 AM at the Faith Tabernacle, 514 North Kansas Ave, Liberal, Kansas, with Rev. Rex Petty officiating. Guymon memorial services will be Saturday morning, March 15, 10:00 AM at the Church of the Nazarene, 2214 North Sunset.

Memorials may be given in to a charity that was dear to Marla, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, c/o Henson-Novak Funeral Directors, P.O. Box 1306, Guymon, OK 73942.
