Mark Bultman, age 67, of Ulysses, Kansas, died Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. He was born August 17, 1955, in Elkhart, Kansas, the son of Roy Lee and Dorothy (Malone) Bultman.

Mark lived in Elkhart until age five when he moved to South Dakota to live on the family farm. His senior year of high school he returned to Elkhart and graduated with the class of 1973. Mark married Michelle Monroe on December 20, 1977, in Ulysses. He worked for 40 years in the oil field for Lathem Water Service, Dowell, Panhandle Eastern, Duke Energy, Chapparel Energy, and was currently as a Senior Pipeline Operator at Capturepoint LLC in Texas. He worked hard but loved to be home with his family. His grandchildren would come over on Saturdays and spend the day with him. He enjoyed bird hunting in the past years, watching KU basketball, Washington Redskin football, Nebraska University football, and listening to music, especially to his grandson play his guitar. Mark was a member of Shelton Memorial Christian Church in Ulysses.

Mark is survived by his wife, Michelle of their home; son, Mark Bultman, Jr.; and daughter, Hattie Wiginton and husband Adam all of Ulysses; sister, Lana Moeller and husband Marcus of Wolsey, South Dakota; four grandchildren, Lundon, Maison, Aniston and Milani Wiginton; niece, Jodi Kirk Flores of Ulysses; and great-nephew, Joshua Flores. 

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Dorothy Bultman; and brother, Tony Bultman.

Funeral service will be Friday, June 9, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Shelton Memorial Christian Church in Ulysses with Reverend Kelly Gindlesberger officiating. Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Mark Bultman Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave., Ulysses, KS 67880.
