Maria D. Borboa, age 81, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at her home in Ulysses, Kansas.  She was born onAugust 13, 1944, in Tucson, Arizona, the daughter of Francisco and Margarita (Armenta) Riesgo.

Maria grew up in Tucson Arizona. She married Peter Borboa onJanuary 12, 1963, in Tucson, Arizona. Maria enjoyed family time, being involved with and supporting grandkids and great-grandkids. Maria will be remembered for her amazing cooking and making sure everyone always ate. And making everyone laugh by saying what was on her mind and had no filter.

Maria is survived by her sons, Peter Borboa Jr. of Ulysses, and Phillip Borboa and wife Lisa of Ulysses; daughters, Victoria Barreda (Rene Barreda) of Phoenix, Arizona, and Veronica Borboa of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter–in-law, Renee Borboa of Middleburg, Florida; 14 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Margarita Riesgo; husband, Peter P. Borboa; and son, Paul J.Borboa.
