Luz Elena Aranda, 93, died July 16, 2013 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.
She was born December 5, 1919 in San Andres, Chihuahua, Mexico, the daughter of Margarita Rodriguez. She was the secretary for General Albino Aranda, who helped raise her.
She was member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Liberal.
On Oct. 22, 1938, she married Ramon Aranda. Together, they had eleven children He died May 31, 1971.

Sergio Aranda and wife Arminda of Mexico
Omar Martin Aranda and companion Elaina of Dumas, TX

Marta Elena Rodriguez and husband Oscar of Liberal, KS
Maria Margarita Veronica and husband Justino of Liberal, KS

She was preceded in death by: two Sons: Hector Aranda and Jose Benito Aranda; two Daughters: an infant daughter and Rosa Elva Garcia ; one Brother: Jose Palacios and two Sisters: Carlota Rodriguez and Agroda Rodriguez.
Rosary and Vigil service will be 5:00 pm Friday at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Fr. Jim Dieker presiding. Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3 – 8 pm Thursday and 9 am – 8 pm Friday at Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
