Loren Paul Rapp

Loren Paul Rapp, 87, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away October 10th, 2021, at his home.

Loren was born June 29, 1934, Northwest of Hooker in a dugout. The family moved to the present farm when Loren was a small boy. He attended school in Hooker and graduated from Hooker High School with the Class of 1953. After graduation he enlisted in the US Army and served for three years in the Korean War.

After he received his honorable discharge and returned home. On August 18, 1956, at the Hooker Methodist Church was united in marriage to Nina Beth Butler. They eventually made their home on the family farm South of Hooker.

Loren was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hooker. He enjoyed refinishing black powder rifles, hunting and fishing, playing baseball where he was the catcher but most of all, he enjoyed taking his family on vacation, never missing a year. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed attending as many of their events as possible.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Louis and Ruby Rapp, two brothers, Sheldon and Emil Ray Rapp, and one granddaughter, Amanda Marie Cappellucci.

He is survived by his wife, Beth of the home; two sons, Louis and LaWanda Rapp of Hooker, Loren Charles Rapp of Hooker; two daughters,  Kim and Paul Hidalgo of Hooker and Tamara and Daniel Cappellucci of Hooker; five grandchildren, Nick and Oksana Hidalgo, Leiah and Greg Barnes, Amber Cappellucci, Lane and Chelsa Cappelucci and Savher Rapp; ten great grandchildren, Tryston, Kialey, Alexa, Taelor, Aubri, Harper, Grace, Titus, Hank and Jude; one brother, Jim Rapp of Hooker; one three sisters, Ruthe and Diz Boyles of Hooker, Beth Southern of Pennsylvania and Roberta Cantrell of Amarillo, Texas.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 16, 2021, at the United Methodist Church in Hooker with Rev. Jim Reeves officiating. Interment will be in the Hooker Cemetery directed by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Oklahoma.
