Lonnie Ray Luck

Lonnie Ray Luck passed suddenly on January 3, 2023, at the age of 67. He was born on June 23, 1955 in Hays, Kansas to Rosalie H. and Donald L. Luck. He was the oldest of five children with two brothers, Jeffrey Luck and Kenton Luck and two sisters, Darla Myers and Nancy Edmundson. He spent his childhood days in Elkhart, Kansas.

Lonnie was married to the love of his life, Peggy Marie (Hansen), on July 20, 1975. The two of them settled down in Liberal, Kansas where Lonnie started Luck Refrigeration, which he operated until the time of his passing.

Lonnie is survived by his mother Rosalie Luck, two sons Eric David Luck and wife Wendy, Adam Ray Luck and wife Jessica and three grandchildren: Lyla J. Luck, London G. Luck, and Levi J. Luck; two step grandchildren Steven Ray McBryde and wife Brandy and Micheal John McBryde and wife Jessina. Five step great-grandchildren: Dade R. Williams, Hailey W. Williams, Laci J. McBryde, John F. McBryde, Lily D. McBryde.

He was preceded in death by his father Donald Luck.

Lonnie enjoyed working with his hands fixing things, playing with his grandkids, and most of all, traveling and exploring the country with his wife Peggy. The two were best friends. He was always up for adventure, was friendly, and humbly generous to everyone he met. He could effortlessly strike up a conversation with anyone in the room and his wit put smiles on everyone’s faces. He will be deeply missed by all.

Memorial Services will on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 2pm at the First United Methodist Church, 116 W 3rd St., Liberal, KS, 67901, with Pastors Brad Bennett and Rex Petty presiding.
