Linda Joan Miller: UPDATE

Linda Joan Miller, age 67, passed away on May 14, 2012 at Oklahoma University Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born November 3, 1944 in Beaver, OK. She was the daughter of Turl Evan and Dorothy Jeanne (Bussey) Gray. She was a member of the 1962 graduating class from Beaver High School in Beaver, OK and subsequently attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, OK from 1962 – 1964. On January 16, 1965 she married Darrell Keith Miller in Beaver, OK. He survives. Linda and Keith resided in Bartlesville, OK for the past 6 years.

Linda worked in School Libraries in Booker, TX, Hays, KS and Liberal, KS. She also worked at the Public Library in Derby, KS as well as the St. Joseph Medical Center library in Wichita, KS. For many years she operated a home based business called “The Tattered Book Repair”. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, quilting and quality time working on projects with her grandchildren.

Linda was a member of the Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church, Bartlesville, OK, Beta Sigma Phi and Needles and Friends Quilt Guild.

She was preceded in death by her Father.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Beaver, OK with Pastor Paul Rummage of the Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church, Bartlesville, OK presiding. Graveside Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2012 in Restlawn Cemetery, Liberal, KS.

Visitation will be 3 – 5 p.m. Sunday at Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd., Liberal, KS.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Diabetes Association in care of the Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
