Librada Rodriguez, age 88, of Johnson, Kansas died Sunday, March 25, 2012 at her home in Johnson, Kansas. She was born November 23, 1923 in Chihuahua Mexico, the daughter of Eustacio and Nicolaza (Mendoza) Rodriguez.

Librada was a homemaker. She married Jesus Manuel Rodriguez in 1948. He preceded her in death on May 13, 1999. Librada traveled between Johnson and Chihuahua Mexico the last four years.

Survivors include three sons, Manuel Rodriguez of Johnson, Kansas, Ramon Rodriguez of Chihuahua Mexico, Miguel Rodriguez of Garden City, Kansas; one daughter, Luz Maria Rodriguez of Chihuahua Mexico; one brother, Gonzalo Rodriguez of Los Angeles, California; two sisters, Ramona Rodriguez and Jesus Maria Rodriguez both of Chihuahua Mexico; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Librada is preceded in death by her parents, and husband.

Funeral mass will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Johnson, Kansas with Father Trong Binh Tran officiating. Cremation will follow the service with burial at a later date in Chihuahua Mexico. Arrangements are in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 715, Johnson, Kansas 67855.
